Commitment and diversity

Commitment: an integral part of our company culture
At DKSH, diversity is not a concept that gathers dust in management manuals nor is it a question of quota policies. Diversity comes naturally and does not have to be created or managed artificially. It is a part of our genetic heritage and an integral part of our company culture stretching back over almost 150 years.
We have always recognized the values of diversity, from the very beginning, when DKSH’s Swiss founders were confronted with cultures new and foreign to them. They quickly learned to combine the strengths of the Asian and European ways of doing things, to balance Eastern and Western brainpower and to turn the resulting symbiosis into a winning concept. This legacy and tradition makes us unique, because our deep cultural understanding is impossible to copy.
Millions of people in Asia every day come in contact with the products we sell: we touch the everyday lives of people in the truest sense of the word. Our success on the Asian market is above all based on the fact that we as a Swiss company – with our traditional attributes such as quality and reliability – have become familiar with local environments and have adapted to them.
Today, our 23,000 people representing 56 nationalities and the most diverse cultural and educational backgrounds work together in 35 countries to bring their strengths to bear for clients and customers alike. It is the sum of these diverse talents that makes DKSH what it is: the leading provider of Market Expansion Services with focus on Asia.
